I've only just discovered Isabelle Adjani, great actress and incomparable beauty.but if I had to compare I 'd say Monica Belluci most resembles her, with Olivia Hussey a close runner-up. All three of these women are very beautiful in the same kind of mold, Rachel Weisz too.

I completely agree with LesGirl1014, in the balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet I thought she looked just like Kristen Kruek. We saw the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet in language arts today and I asked Ryan if he thought she looked like Kristen Kreuk. Ryan's response was "I wasn't really looking at her face!" I'm watching "romeo and juliet" in school (obviously the one with her in it) but i thought she looked exactly like Rachel Leigh Cook in the movie! i swear it was her and then when i found out that it was this old it obviously couldnt be her but i thought that they looked exactly the same!

The thing about Olivia Hussey is that she does not really look like anybody else. There is a slight resemblance between her and the young Jane Seymour, but that's about it. In school, I have observed adolescent boys who, for the first time, are watching the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet. Most of the guys are dumbstruck when they set eyes on Olivia for the first time.

this is a bit off tipicbut is this the same actress who was in the coffee commercials in the uk in the 1990's?
you know where the tea girl is saying to some woman in the lift 'oh crap, i need to get her the coffee quickly i hear she's a real battle-axe' and then when she delivers the coffee its her, the same woman in the lift.
bit off topic i know but. -

Olivia looks like a mix of Kristin Kreuk and Rachael Leigh Cook.
See these pictures:

I just don't see it. I think what makes Olivia look so distinctive is the combination of huge eyes, a long straight nose, and a bow shaped mouth. I think the big eyes/long straight nose combination must fairly unusual. As far as I can tell, that is what makes her different. I have seen faces very similar to hers in Renaissance art, but not in films or magazines. I think Zeffirelli must have cast her in part because of her Renaissance look. Check out the scene when she is having her first conversation with Romeo at the dance and she has her head bent slightly forward with her eyes cast down. Leonardo drew young girls in precisely this pose.
