I not only remember Jim Hutton⦠I remember Mrs. Ellery Queen, the poster up above from the IMDb days as well.
I liked her a lot.
Well, Woody, are you ready for tomorrow? I didn't forget!
I plan to wish you a Happy Birthday. I plan to encourage everyone else to make their own Happy Birthday posts as well.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Tried three times. No go. Initial contact with one child okay, but suspect subsequent communication taken in different vein than intended. On the other hand, after receiving information from 4 people who beseeched me to preserve their anonymity, I deemed the bio better left unwritten.

Keep in 16d0mind that many movie moguls essentially "owned" actors, creating their public image and a persona instead of letting actors be themselves. (Some moguls even told actors who to date, not date, divorce, or marry!) If you want to know more, telephone me at 866-262-6425; it's my home office, and my clients are global, so you can call on weekends. cc

Well, I would like to know what his eye color was. In some of the Ellery Queen episodes, his eyes looked blue. In some, his eyes looked grey. At any rate, he sure was a georgeous man.

"All press releases and marketing info, including some interviews that I read during my research said blue eyes."
Thanks! I don't know why his eyes look so grey in the Ellery Queen episodes! Even when he addresses the audience and we get a close-up of him, his eyes look grey most of the time! I probably need to adjust the color on my TV set.
At any rate, he sure was one

man, especially in the seventies! He was a cutie in the sixties, and a hottie in the seventies.
I read the older posts here, and it sounds like Jim did have some personal problems. Most Hollywood people have personal problems. I have heard about some of the pranks he pulled in college. I admit that I did find those kinda funny.

He pulled some funny pranks in the Army, too, and at least one that while he was an actor. But he also had at least one that was not funny at all and was in bad taste. Let's face ithe was human like the rest of us, and we all have done things we would rather forget and leave with the other skeletons in the closet. He was one darn fine looking man. In an interview he said, though, that as he got to 40, having a baby face did not help him get any jobs, and the phone rang less and less with job offers. He admitted that he thought the 'high life' would keep on going, but then it stopped. I truly believe he taught his son all the lessons of good and hard knocks of hollywood, which made his son stronger for making himself a success, and I say "Cheers! to Jim and Tim together!"

I admit that I would like to hear about a few of those "not funny" pranks.
Feel free to PM me with some info, without actually mentioning any names.
I would appreciate hearing some of those stories, if they don't take too long to type out.
Please do send them to me!
Yup, he was a very, very good looking man.
He was a cutie in the sixties and a hottie in the seventies. I think that he lost the baby face sometime in the seventies, because he sure didn't look "babyish" in "Don't be Afraid of the Dark" and "Ellery Queen". If he had lived longer, he probably could have gotten more roles in the eighties and nineties. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. It's too bad, because he was extremely talented.
Personally, I think that he is (was) the best looking man ever to be in Hollywood. I can't think of anyone else who is even remotely as good looking as he was! My generation has been taught to admire the looks of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. I don't care for those men's looks. I've also never looked twice at George Clooney and Pierce Brosnan. Even Timothy Hutton doesn't look1c84 exactly like his father. I've seen him in some youtube clips, and I just don't see the resemblance as much as some other IMDb users. Jim Hutton had something that no one else has.
