Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jim Hutton

I remember Jim Hutton in a TV show episode around 1958. The show, an anthology series, featured a weekly story about bravery in combat. In Hutton's episode, he played a reluctant G.I. in WWII Europe. It's been more than 50 years, but I think he played a character named "Slim" who found courage and knocked out a German tank and being fatally wounded in action. Anybody remember this, and the name of the series?

Found it. The series was called the "The Big Attack" AKA "Citizen Soldier (1956-57), the episode was "Big Slim", starring Dana S. Hutton, who later became Jim Hutton. It's amazing I recalled this episode after 52 years.

He also played an Air Force flyboy in a "Twilight Zone" episode of around the same vintage.
