Obviously I do not know Steven Speilberg or Kate Capshaw (though I envy those in this thread who do); I certainly have great respect for Steven's work. As someone stated up above this all happened 20 years ago. I'm sure that whatever forgiving needed to happen happened. And while I would certainly love for Steven Speilberg to serve as both a personal and professional role model, no one is perfect, and no one can be expected to be perfect. Certainly I hope to avoid that situation myself, as do all of you I'm sure. But let us not judge too harshly that which we were not apart of. Let's leave that to God.

Yeesh, let it goHow many years ago did they get divorced?
Besides, I really feel sorry for Mr. Spielbergit looks like he really suffered.
Like others have said, it was only pocket change for him. AND he did break her heart and they had a child together. -

&quoda0t;Let it go"? I don't think anyone here's trying to get Irving and Spielberg back togetherwe're just discussing Hollywood history.
A few posters here are calling Irving a "golddigger" and implying she had nothing to offer Spielberg, as if she were some desperate starlet coasting along on his coattails.
The fact is she was a gorgeous, talented, intelligent young woman from a very cultured family. His tongue was hanging out for heras would practically
any
guy's have been back then. -

I believe THIS is the way it happened. Spielberg and Irving met in the seventies. Dated until the early eighties. Broke up. Spielberg began dating Capshaw. Broke up with Capshaw to get back with Irving. Broke up with Irving. Married Capshaw.
100 million ain't bad. I'd take that over ANYBODY including the love of my life.
We'll see whose the filthiest person alive! We'll just see!
