You're equating "sleeping with" to having sex but I think it was most likely sleeping in the same bed. It was certainly an unusual and unconventional friendship but I don't believe it was sexual at all and them being in the same bed isn't proof that it was.

He never had a childhood and had a serious mental condition where he just wanted to be a kid again. He even built a whole neverland to escape the bs he called his life.
His dad was so abusive to him from such a young age n I honestly think he just wanted to be a big brother to kids and have sleepovers and idk do whatever kids do. -

I agree. What he did was not normal but he lost much of his childhood. I think he was very child like in many ways.
With that being said, any other person would likely be charged or looked down on. Who he was allowed him certain liberties a normal man would not have. -
