Is the voice she uses for Marge and her family her natural voice and if so why is it like that? I heard her on the commentary and she sounded more like Marge's mum. Please help.

My guess is that her natural voice is a bit lower than Marges and also on the "behind the scenes" shows Ive noticed that she talks slightly slower than Marges character. With such alow voice its inevitable I think.
But I agree what she said-as long as she doesnt speak in public she is not noticed by other people - her voice is clearly recognizable while other main actors "off screen" voice is rather different from their characters. -

Atually, her voice is more like Marge Simpsons mother Jackie.

hello i love to credit myself as julie's biggest fan. so i'll tell you that her voice is low and slightly nasaly( not like the nanny though ). she raises her voice an octave and roughens a little bit for marge. she lowers her voice an octave and roughens a lot for selma and patty. mrs.bouvier she does marge's voice but like an old lady. that's why the mother from click sounds like mrs.bouvier when she's old.
