House of Sand and Fog.
Of course it is just opinion, so you can't dare tell me I am wrong and say Ghandi was better. I can tell you why it was House of Sand and Fog, too.
When I watch a movie, I know it is a movie. When I was watching (numerous times) House of Sand and Fog, especially near the end when his son gets killed, I actually forgot it was a movie and was sucked into his character. Never have I been moved so much, I could nearly feel what he was feeling. He blurred the lines of acting and reality right there, never have I seen such a performance before. -

I couldn't agree more. He was simply amazing in
House of Sand and Fog
. The scene where he sees his son shot is so heartbreaking and devastating. It's a perfect performance, even better than his effort in
Gandhi
. Got to give special mention for his brilliant role in
Sexy Beast
. What a great character. Didn't know he had the acting chops for that.
