Klaus Kinski was a truly amazing actor that starred in many great films but the majority of his career was spent acting in some unfathomably awful movies. Some of Kinski's films are so bad they are not even listed on IMDB!

Film that looks great in the synopsis can turn out to be a turkey after the producers get through with it. When an actor signs up he is taking a gamble it will succeed. Actors cannot live on love and fresh air, they have to earn money to pay their bills like everybody else.

I thought of Kinski too He said himself he just took the jobs that paid best. I think those bad movies also gave him a chance to stand out for his acting, to be the best without fear of competition. He was such an egomaniac, but entertaining at that

The man was in a UWE BOLL MOVIE. That's where actors go to die. And now he's back in the "A team" of top actors in a marvel film. Unbelieveable. I love the guy but I don't get why he agreed to star in some stinkers like Thunderbirds, a sound of thunder, the love guru, bloodrayne.

I think he just enjoys acting and doesn't really make a big fuzz about if it's a major hollywood movie or one on the low-budge. I remember what Danny Trejo said in an interview once (I know he's not on the same level as Kingsley, but he's still a big name), he said that he takes roles in low budget movies because they are often more fun to play in and he gets to control more of the character at the same time while helping the directior with a big name.

For sure. But I also think another one of those great actors in terrible films is John Lithgow who is absolutely amazing even in the worst schlock. Gary Oldman does this spectacularly as well. Andreas Katsulas and Peter Jurasik too.

The only movie of his that I didn't like is Schindler's List (1993). I watched it twice and I didn't like better the second time. I rate it 3/10.

Michael Madsen deserves a mention here. Back in the 90's, he had the ability to be a great actor and pick good projects, but ever since his bankruptcy, he takes whatever project he can find, which is usually awful.

For me i have to say Malcolm Mcdowell. His acting in C111clockwork Orange is one of the best film performances, but with the exception of If and Caligula (a film i really didn't like myself) i think nearly all the other films he was in are rubbish.
A great actor, who deserved to have more good rolls than he got.
