Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Greg Kinnear

I am a huge JFK fan and watch anything related about him in tv and movies, and Kinnear was absolutely the best JFK ever. Looked just like him, the mannerisms, everything. Terrific job. If the series didnt get blackballed, he would have been up for an emmy.
Sometimes when you see Kinnear in this you actually may think it's really Jack Kennedy! LOL!
    Great job Kinnear!

      He was alright..
The one who REALLY shined in this mini-series was Barry Pepper as RFK! 😜

I liked Kinnear in the mini-series, but for my money no one will ever do a better job of playing JFK than Martin Sheen.

The look and the Mannerisms were great but all I could hear was Greg Kinnear trying to do a JFK impersonation.
He also didn't seemed to never change the urgency, if that's the right word, in his voice. Although I'm not sure if that was how JFK talked.

I love the hell out of Greg Kinnear but Bruce Greenwood is by far the best JFK I've seen. He looked like him and more important he sounded exactly like him.

It's difficult to choose the best JFK ever if one hasn't seen all of the JFK performances. Apparently, no one here has seen William Devane in "The Missiles of October." If you ever get a chance to see it, I think you'll change your mind about the best JFK ever.

Yes, even though Devane doesn't resemble JFK quite as much as some other actors, he really got his speech and mannerisms down.
Just a brief historical footnote: the person who most accurately reproduced JFK's speech (pattern and accent) was entertainer Vaughn Meader. I still have one of his LP records stored in the basement somewhere. He was just hitting his stride, making a career out of his satirical records and planning a TV special, when JFK was killed. Wow, talk about a career-ending event. Meader never really recovered from that blow.

Incredible job in The Kennedys. All of them: Pepper, Kinnear, Holmes, and Wilkinson.
                    They simply inhabit the roles.

Just watched the show. I agree, best JFK ever.
Kinnear has got to be the most underated actor ever, also. He absolutely crushes every role he plays.
