Yes, he is gay.
Not that it should really matter to anyone.
I was devastated when I found this out however. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay I was just very shocked.
Watch this episode of "Inside the Actors Studio" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=pZgdtP78AYU) to here him say he's gay himself. -

I'm tempted to ask you, "What colour is the sky on your planet?"
Please try to broaden your awareness of gay people before you draw such wide-ranging conclusions.
Seriously, if that's your impression of gay people in general, it gives the distinct impression that your only knowledge of gay people is the stereotypes seen mainly in mediocre comedies and news coverage of Gay Pride Festivals. (News coverage, for reasons known only to the network, tends to downplay the mainstream-looking majority and concentrate on the most outlandish images they can find.)
Outside of the movie,
Birdcage
, I've never seen Nathan Lane in female costume. You may as well try to draw similar conclusions about Gene Hackman from seeing him in drag at the end of that movie.
Your post creates such a perception of shallowness that I must conclude my response with one of my favourite Gilbert & Sullivan lines:
On the subject, I pray you, be dumb! Your notions, 'though many, Are not worth a penny; The word for your guidance is "Mum!" -

It amuses me how blatantly gay Nathan Lane is and you still have to ask. Anyway, who cares. The guys awesome and he's an amazing actor. And to the people who say what buisiness is it of ours. He came out nationally and is a hollywood movie star. His entire career is our business. His entire career is about impressing the public. He isn't our next door neighbor. If your an actor in Hollywood you have to be prepared for ceaseless attention.

Precisely. I think this is the best quote I've heard from him regarding his sexuality:
"Look, I'm 40, I'm single, and I work in musical theateryou do the math!" (Nathan Lane, in response to a question on his sexuality, The New York Post, November 8th, 2000)
That being said, He's absolutely wonderful. I think he's one of the most adorable people on the planet, and he's a fantastic actor.
I adore him

You know what, I just gotta say it. I'm a black guy and I think we should just stop all this discrimination NO MATTER what anyone is. It'll tear everyone apart.
And, this thread is a damn long one. Why are we still going?- We're all outta Corn Flakes - FU (Divorced, Broke & Sloppy)

Thank you for saying this, it's long overdue! If people would just forget about the gift wrap (Looks, color, ethnic, and sexual orientation), and focused on what is truly important. The person, who they are, how they treat others, their values and behavoirs. The world would be a much better place.
People that judge on the externals, miss out on so much in life, and on valueable, worthwhile friendships/relationships. To me, that shows, they are also very shallow, and I must question their values, and ethics.
I'm saying all this as someone who is white, streight, and female. In other words, enough is enough already. All that should matter is the man's talent, and his ability to entertain. -

Ok, hopefully this is one of the last postsif you say that you're not rasist (Which I hope you are not) then please, don't judge with this matter or any other matter. Because if you look at it, this is ONE of the current day "rascisms". Just chill, and be cool with it.
