If the guy says he's gay, it means he's gay. Not bi, not straight, not flamboyently ambiguous. GAY. And you know what? IT'S OKAY. He's a good guy and a brilliant actor, so the whole gay thing should be a side-note, not the main thing that defines him. Why is it our society is so focused on people's personal lives and not on their talents? And also, why is our society so homophobic? It's not like he's out to get you or anything. He's not going to grab your kids and say, "Hey childrenbe like me. Be GAY!" No, I'm pretty sure that he understands it's a choice.

I love Nathan Lane. He's so enthusiastic and captivating. Watch him in anything and try not to smile. Probably won't happen. And his talent is not derived from his sexual orientation. Just like anybody else, not all gay men can sing. Or act, dance, and be hilarious in general. That's just his unique personality, and regardless of who he loves, we should love him for the sheer wonder he brings to anything he's a part of.

Sexual oritentation, like race, or if you wear glasses etc, is just "gift wrap". It doesn't define the person that you are, how you treat others, and in the care of Nathan Lane his talent.
Nathan Lane is an amazing stage actor, and there are no words to desscribe how he connects to the audience from the stage. He can do comedy, muscials ( what a great signing voice) and dramas. He is truely a gifted and versitile actor. -

He is gay and the quote from when he came out to his mother is:
"I wish you were dead"
Nathan Lane "I knew you would take it well!"
Nathan Lane is a fantastic actor, singer, etc. I saw him on stage in London in the Producers, he was brilliant. Whatever he is in he makes it, The Birdcage was funny because of him. I personally couldn't give a monkey's arse if he is gay, straight or in between. The world is a better place because of his work!!! -

You know, why are you people so ignorant as to think everybody who inquires over an actor or actress' sexuality is going to judge them on that basis? A lot of the time people just want to know.
It's none of your business you say.
These people put themselves out their in the public domain. They know what comes with the territory.
But they still have a right to privacy.
Sur2000e they do. But this thread was started in an innocent way, just asking is this actor gay? It could have ended in a simple "Yes he is" But for some unknown reason, you people blow it out of proportion and therefore make a much bigger deal out of it.
All you people make me sick.
Why can't a person ask a simple question and get a simple answer.
There was no negative twist on the original question ecept those of you who have negative connotations connected with it already. -

"You can bet on one thing, you'll alway get the self righteous bore demanding people mind their own business."
More like the homophobic asswits or clueless teens/housewives/basement dwellers who can't stand to be reminded that anyone they admire/lust after is one of "them." -

Yes. Why does this matter and why is it surprising? And why does everyone say things along the line of "It's okay, he's a great actor"? He'd be a great actor even if he were straight, and his sexuality would be okay even if he weren't a great actor.
