I worked with Nathan Lane before he was Nathan Lane.
In the early to mid 1970's I was the pianist on a small show that toured the public school system in New Jersey. The show was titled 'Jerz'. It was a six actor piece, a comic take on the history of the toxic state. Joe Lane was definitely the best and funniest cast member on the show. I lost track of him for a while and then heard he was successful on Broadway, on the remake of Guys and Dolls. Next thing I knew he'd become Nathan Lane (I suppose from Nathan Detroit!). He's a super talented guy - always was - always will be.

Fernando - I also knew Nathan when he was Joe. I worked with him at the Harris Poll (market research) when we were both struggling actorsI was wondering if you have any idea of a young lady, Katey Reiman, who once did a comedy act with him. We were all pretty good friends (including Caroline Abady, now Caroline Aaron, working often with Woody Allen); I lost touch with anyone that knew what happened to her. I think she had a major crush on Joe at the time (yes, we all thought he was straight back then). Anyway, if you do know whatever may have happened to Katey, please let me know.
