He lucked into "Dragon", but he really is a "B" actor. Probably the luckiest "B" actor to have a big budget project built around him since Hep Thi Le in "Heaven and Earth"

He doesnt like being famous, so he shy's away from Hollywood. He was reluctant in doing the Bruce Lee Story

He doesn't need to worry about being bothered for major roles. And its obvious he is trying, because I can't imagine Dracula the Ascent to be the sort of role you come out of retirement for. As is, I feel he has ruined the last Prophecy movie. I know they re B flicks, but they are thoughtfuly writen, and I enjoy them. I didn't need this idiots grimacing and spitting out words to ruin it. What a joker. Even if he did look like him Bruce Lee deserved better. Hollywood is in desperate need of a good Asian actor obviously.

I think Jason Scott was a good choice for Bruce Lee. C'mon, what other Asian actor out there can actually act, learn martial arts and look anything like Bruce Lee? I don't doubt that there are probably other actors out there better than JS and who might even be martial arts masters already or whatever; but I HIGHLY DOUBT that they'd look anything like Bruce. And you know that EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS would be complaining if some great talented guy who looked NOTHING like Bruce got the part.
I think that JS looks more like Bruce than Brandon, and that's his son for crying out loud! His build was a bit big (which contributed to his being really slow compared to Bruce), but I think health-wise, there wasn't really much he could do about that without putting serious strain on his heart from all the weight loss and such.

I agree Jason was a good choice and really appreciated his performance in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story. At best, he has a slight resemblence to Bruce, but where he really excelled was with Bruce's voice (most of his films were dubbed)and some of his mannerisms. His artistic interpretation of Jeet Kune Do was different from Bruce's, but it was acceptable and exciting to watch.
Jason is much larger than Bruce, who was 5'7" and 120-130 lbs. Jason is 5'10" with a larger, but different muscular frame from Bruce (Brandon's frame was more like Bruce's), but he did do a fantastic job, so it was acceptable.
As to Jason being too slow compared to Bruce because of his extra weight, I doubt that. I chalk it up to the years of dedicated and intense training that Bruce put himself through as compared to an actor undergoing training to play a role (he did himself proud, nevertheless). Acting is one's interpretation of the subject that they study and I enjoyed his portrayal.

Jason Scott Lee is a talented actor who doesn't play Hollywood games or politics. I've enjoyed every performance I've seen him in, and I look forward to his future roles.

Jason Scott Lee is a great actor who should be a serious mainstream action star. Screw the Rock or any of those fake stars, we need a new hero now and Jason Scott Lee is the man!
American films have been devoid of a real action hero for about the past decade, and if I had the power, Jason would be the prime candidate.

I have no real knowledge but here's my thoughts. Like a lot of actors he took his talent (asian action hero type) as far as Hollywood, and his agent could get him. He has a measure of success and is most likely financially secure which is more than most "actors" that chase the Hollywood dream. Becoming a "star" isn't as much determination in LA as it is luck and connections.

Action heros come and go look at Jean Claude. I think he's is doing what he can by in a sense looking for good projects this way. There's a lot of waiting by the phone. He seems to be making use of his time by focusing on the farm in down times.
He is a very good martial artist, but he can safely do comedic roles as well which is unique.

I enjoy seeing a good kung fu movie every once in a while. I'm glad he doesn't mind doing them. I think Asians in Hollywood are going through what African Americans went through a few years ago. It will take time. I think Asians just have to get behind their own movies and and show the industry with dollars.
He gets starring credit in all the movies he was out, which is more than I see some of these TV actors get when they make movies.

Well, it's not really up to the star as to whether someone making a movie hires them. Sad, but true. All we can do is just hope that he auditions for and is offered some good roles.

He visited my high school last year, McKinley High School on Oahu. There was a video presentation on his life on the big island and how he's living. He's gotten very close to the natural simple life without all the complexity of the city life. He's a good guy.
