I'm ashamed to say it but I had never even HEARD of Myrna Loy until I was looking up Jimmy Stewart on IMDB and read a quote by him where he said, "There should be a law against anyone who doesn't want to marry Myrna Loy." I was thinking, "Who?"
Suffice to say I'll start looking up her films now.. -

I had never heard of Myrna Loy either until a few years ago I was watching an early movie she did with Clark Gable, Men in White. The instant I saw her, I was like who is this stunning creature? Since I try to see every1908thing with Gable in it, I ran across her again and again. Then I saw the Thin Man movies, and now I watch everything she's in. She's adorable. I love her with William Powell, and Gable too. I read her autobiography, Being and Becoming. It is great, I highly recommend it. What a sweet lady she was.

Does 28 count as young? I'd heard of Myrna Loy before, but hadn't seen her until Mr. Blandings Buils His Dreamhouse was on TCM a couple of years ago. Love her to pieces.

I was about 30 when I first heard of Myrna Loy. I was watching either AMC or TCM and "Third Finger, Left Hand" was on. She was in that with Melvyn Douglas. Ever since I have been a huge fan. Also became a big fan of William Powell in the process.

I'm 16, and have yet to see "Wife vs. Secretary" and numerous other movies of Myrna Loy, but I definitely love her both as an actress and as a person. I guess I don't have to mention how much I love Nick & Nora, but actually the first Myrna Loy film I ever saw as "Best Years of Our Lives." She immediately caught my attention and I sought out to find out more about her. She's definitely one of the best.

Same with me - I'm 17 and saw her for the first time in "Midnight Lace" last Summer. I loved her as "Aunt Bea" because she was so perfect for the role but didn't look her up. Then I saw "The best years of our lives" and she immediately caught my attention. As I found out she was Myrna Loy and had also appeared in "Midnight Lace" I wanted to watch more movies with her - she's wonderful in everything she did. The Thin Man Series are nothing but great and so many others are too
