Was it Clark Gable? William Powell? Cary Grant? Or someone else?

It is William Powell! I have seen five of the six 'Thin Man' movies and some other of both.
But in 'Test Pilot' and 'Wive vs. Secretary' where she is coupled with Clark Gable the chemistry is also very fine and it is lovely to watch.
Always, whenn I am watching movies like these I am dreaming of the 'Old Hollywood' -

Yes, another vote for William Powell from me! With the possible exception of Fred and Ginger, there isn't a better romantic couple. So far I've only seen eight of their films together, but I do have copies of I Love You Again and Love Crazy now, so I'll be able to see them when I go home in about a week.
Their chemistry is utterly irresistible, I'm never happier than when I'm watching William and Myrna together on screen
Wonderful!

Hands down, it was William Powell! They had amazing chemistry, and they were incredibly charming and believable on screen together! I love the Thin Man series, and the two of them were wonderful!

I'm going against all of y'all and saying Clark, Cary and William are both great, but I like Clark with her best, most of all in "Test Pilot".
Deliberate cruelty is unforgivable, and the one thing I've never been guilty of.

I agree with your rocker-girl, Myrna and Clark were great in Test Pilot. Spencer Tracy was the icing on the cake.
After all, Gable and Loy were crowned King and Queen of Hollywood in 1938!

"Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House" and "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer" not so great??? You must have very high standards. Both movies are2000 four stars without a doubt and worth watching over and over again. The scene where Myrna Loy is picking out colors for the house in "Mr. Blandings" is priceless. That said, William Powell was easily her best co-star. The "Thin Man" series, "Libeled Lady," "Manhattan Melodrama," and several more - the chemistry between them sizzled every time they starred together. My favorite actors of all time.

Without a doubt, Clark Gable!
They weren't titled King and Queen of Hollywood for nothing! Both were skilled actors in their own respect, but when they were together on-screen, the chemistry was undeniable!
