Today's women could learn a lot from her.

Ms. Loy was an ardent life-long feminist and a strong and active Liberal Democrat (once, when asked in an interview she was asked if she were Republican or Democrat, she responded "I'm a radical!") And she did it with class and elegance. Her voice didn't sound like metal scraping metal, she didn't talk about her vagina incessantly (it's not accomplishment to have one, ladies) and she never employed obscenities to support her agenda.
She knew it was possible to combine forward thinking with feminiity, which is a very powerful force, not the weakness we like to label it in our times. Taking on the worst qualities men is not an advancemet, nor is tearing down, backbiting and making jugdgements against against other women. -

Oh my, yes, Miss Loy certainly is a lovely trendsetter, and she does it all with grace and elegance, class and style, intelligence and humility, strength and feminity! All of those good qualities and many more virtues may be said of this wonderfully talented actress.
Isn't that especially wonderful how Myrna cares for one and all, not necessarily just those who agree with everything which she stands, but for the helpless and disabled and those who cannot speak for themselves. Such prudence has she, and the stamina and fortitude to enact her mission.
Also very, very pleasant that her voice doesn't "sound like metal scraping metal," the way those all-too-many non-talents today sound, and you cannot even bear to listen, much less to watch their horrid acting, overly-saturated with selfishness, greed and condescention.
Good lesson for today's wannabees! Take a few pages from the lovely Miss Loy's guidelines, no! a few chapters! and then apply that beauty, grace, class and talent to their manufactured celebrity. All because Myrna is very virtuous! -

I'm afraid today's generation need to get their head out of their ass and look around them. They are too busy with their cell phones; one person I know uses it all day and takes it to the toilet; Yes there are exceptions but this generation is probably the most selfish. I wouldn't be making these claims if I hadn't seen it first hand too many times.
Myrna Loy wasn't just a movie star. She was actually a concerned citizen who cared about the effects of war, racial prejudice and politics. Loy put her film career second to focus on these issues.
