If you've watched "Searching for Debra Winger" and paid attention to her lines, you'll see what a terrible beep she is! She's talking about the fact that she is still so hot and she's so beautiful so they don't wanna give her the parts for mothers, older and mature women etc. She says "I wanna look like this and play the mom. If other mothers don't look like me, it's their problem" Oh hell yeah, it's the problem of millions of women who do not spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on beauty products, look after their children, have a good career but look "old"! How can she be so conceited? Yes, she does not look like the average mother (cause she has the dough to spend all her day in the gym and use face creams that cost 2000 bucks) and of course this will stop her from getting parts cause it is not realistic! Whoopi Goldberg said on the same documentary: "It is the harsh reality but most women look like me. They have big butts and sagging boobs" Well at least she knows it is not a crime to be unattractive!

Of course mothers can look beautiful but they don't have to use thousands of dollars for beauty products or plastic surgery! Just because they don't ( some can't even if they want to and some choose not to) does not give this beep the right to say: "If they don't look as fine as me, they can go to hell!"

and i disagree. i think you've misinterpreted hershe's not saying THEY referring to the mothers, but to the studio execs that cast movies. they seem to think that only matronly women can be mothers. kelly's point is that just because a woman is a mother or middle aged does not mean she can't be beautiful, too. -

Of course it's not "just" cash but it helps to have a few dollars to spare for beauty products and/or surgeries!! And I am sure Kelly Lynch gets her share and will do so even more when as she gets older.
