Aging Terribly, or is she?

Cathy is either lying about her age, or she is just aging very badly. I could swear, even though they say she was 17 or 18 when they started filming Raging Bull, that she was at least in her mid twenties, simply because she looked like she was around that age. She had a few wrinkles. 17 and 18 year olds don't have wrinkles like she did. If not, then it's unfortunate that she is aging so terribly.

Yeah, the big, deep ones will start to show up later in life, but you would be able to tell the difference between the face a seventeen year old, and the face of a 27 year old. I just thought she looked older than the girl she was supposed to be portraying. I think was supposed to be fifteen on the film.

I agree, Gabe. Maybe I was naive, when I believed she was born in 1960 and only 21 in 'Neighbors', being so mature! (She's about the only reason to watch that film, really! What a weird one!)
You know what happened? She probably WAS 27 when she did Raging Bull - it's those DAMN cigarettes that did it to her! Sucking on cigs since she was probably 12 years old, smoke for 20+ years, and see what happens to your face! I knew a woman who had smoked her whole life and by 37, she looked like 67! Wrinkled all to hell, man!!!!!
Heard she quit - GOOD, but the damage has already been done!
She's probably over 50, yer right!

OMG! I just read that she was born in 1960- she's 10 years younger than my mom who's 56! She's only 46??? I just watched Soapdish the other day and she said something about being 28 and I'm like yeah right, maybe 38? And that came out in '91 or '92 I think.

If you were to see her in person, you'd be knocked out by how drop-dead gorgeous she is! So shes getting older, who isnt? Cut her a break.
To address a few points: I know her family, she WAS born in 1960. She may look a little older than some of the Hollywood celebs of a similar age for several reasons:
Smoking - prematurely ages the skin,
She possesses that beautiful but extremely fair and delicate Irish skin - generally doesn't age well; particularly when you don't live in Ireland, but in the polluted and usually sunny New York metro area (I know, it's happening to me!)
Her figure has matured lately because she gave birth to 3 kids after 40 - not so easy to drop the baby weight at that age,
Most of all, she is a real person and has a lot of things other interests than how she looks! She's not obsessed with her appearance, nor should she be, she's a natural beauty. I hope she never does anything drastic to herself to try to look younger and would only end up looking fake like so many other celebs.
And I think she looks a helleva lot better now than Darryl Hannah ever looked! -

Westy42 is right. I don't personally know Cathy, my parents have mutual friends with her folks. They socialized with the same Irish set living in New York back in the 50's, 60's and 70's.
One reason I didn't know her back then is that she is a younger than me. That kind of thing mattered more when you're kids. Since I'm about to turn 50, I know she is at least three years younger than me, so her age as listed sounds correct.
I have always enjoyed her performances and wish that she would work more often, but you can't blame her for putting her family first. -

No noI didn't say she looked like a distant shell of her former self and looked like she was going to die at any minute, I just said she was aging terriblyLOL When you pour a half gallon of liquor down your throat and take God knows what for years, you end up like Carrie Fisher.

You people suck! TRhis woman was beautiful and still isand she is a charismatic performershut up you ding bats and stop judging actors by looks alone they have othewr things to do beside 'looking good' in some-ones opinion. Go get em Cathy.
