Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jerry Orbach

I still miss Jerry Orbach. I cried when he died. He was such a father figure, and a real mensch. I've been listening to recordings of him singing Try to Remember and Be Our Guest, and watching interviews with and about him. Very talented man, gone too soon.

He definitely was special and such a shame he died of a treatable condition. I have been watching L&O lately and always love the episodes that he is in. I can appreciate how you feel about him. I've always loved him.

He made the show. I loved that man and still think about him from time to time.

Just watching some Law and Orders - Jerry Orbach delivered some of the funniest one-liners in TV history - for years! Really miss his aura on the screen, so warm, funny, and smart in a very low key way for Leeny Briscoe, but like that in all all of his roles to some extent. I would watch anything with him in it - the Father everyone wishes they had!
