I wouldn't say he is smug just more to himself and his work - he is a nice guy imo.
I mean I asked for an autograph and he asked for my name and wrote a lil message/autograph
"Everything good inevidably comes to an e2000nd"

Maybe he had a bad day, God knows we all have those.
I bet had you met him on another day his acting skills would have scored a bit higher on your grade scale..
I loved him in the eighties, in the "Philadelphia experiment" and "Streets of Fire"

Also given that his level of work is tons of schlock with one of the worst directors ever, he can't be arrogant. The guy is just happy to be working.
I like Michael Pare, but he's got to ditch Uwe Boll and fast!

I met him too, and he is.

I worked with him on a film; he didn't look too happy to be working to me.
He's lucky to have been "discovered" , and having the business come to him,not vise-versa.
He was a chef, made into a NY high profile-model ,then films.
So, appreciate what you get offered in life. More than what's been offered to me.
And if you're listening,Mike, that's for the rude comment you made to me.(yeah, I'm sure you don't rememeber..)

I haven't met MP, I met Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lance Henriksen,Doug Bradley, Dolph Lundgren and Robert Englund and they were all cool, but I'm guessing that if he is indeed smug and arrogant, it's probably because he's sensitive about his work, I mean if said guy pulled an attitude with me, I would just mention the words "In The Dead Of Space!" or "Strip Search!" or "Space Rage!" and so on True he can sort of act, but I'm skeptical of how arrogant he is. I mean he isn't even close to the C-list where guys like his co-star Dolph Lundgren and Van Damme are, he is strictly a D-lister. I mean when your directors are Jim Wynorski, Uwe Boll and Menahem Golan you know that there is much jokes to be had at his expense. I really can't imagine him being arrogant, I mean his last upscale role was Eddie and The Cruisers II, okay Streets Of Fire II is coming out and he's making a movie with Dolph Lundgren but let's be candid this is straight to video all over. No, my point is, that while Pare has made some decent movies and is probably a nice guy, if he is an arrogant jackass, this is just laughable, he's the poor man's Jeff Fahey for goodness sake. How can you be arrogant when you've gone from working with Walter Hill to working with Uwe Boll on multiple times. As well as being cast behind Lorenzo Lamas, Antonio Sabato Jr and (Ouch) Casper Van Dien.

I have met Michael many times and he has signed pictures, posters and we have had pics taken together and in groups. He is ALWAYS charming, and happy to see his fans. Michael stays very busy, not A movies, but he makes his characters live. It's a tough life, contrary to popular belief it's not all fun and big paychecks. If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all!
