Watch Priscilla and then watch the Proposition and you'll see what an amazing actor he is.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
        Ravenous
        The Hard Word
        Till Human Voices Wake Us
        A Slipping Down Life
Actually, aside from Bedtime Stories, I don't think he's made any really bad movies.
I need my 1987 DG20 Casio electric guitar set to mandolin, yeah

He had a major role in Rules of Engagement. But I thought his accent for it was a poor choice.

My favorite role of his will always be his turn in L.A. Confidential.
The First Snow and The Count of Monte Cristo.

Two Brothers - the tiger movie - and his accent is to die for. The dvd has some nice features.

                  Some that havent been mentioned;
Dating the Enemy is good body-swap fun.
Traitor was watcheable, and one of his more recent leads.
But his most memorable performances would include LA Confidential, Memento, The Proposition and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
I'm also suprised that he didnt become typecast as smarmy villians after The Count of Monte Christo, as he is rather good at it, and it crops up now and again in his work.

A Slipping-Down Life should be checked for sure. It's an unusual, but interesting and captivating indie-movie. Guy is cool as a rock star.

I know this is an old thread and so is the movie, but I just watched Ravenous and he was fantastic in itand so was Robert Carlyle! They were a great team together!

Yes, Ravenous shines, even apart from Guy's Boyd it's an amazing film altogether.
                            As well as the Proposition.
                            Crazy films and must-sees!

It sure does! I've seen a lot of Guys' films now and can't really think of one I don't like him in. AlthoughI did see Results when it hit Netflix on 10/22/15 and I was totally disappointed in that film. It was so bland and boring. Sorry Guy, I just didn't like it one bit.
                              I still love ya though!

That's cool, glad you enjoyed it. It just wasn't for me. It's like The Rovera film that's not for everyoneof which I thoroughly enjoyed!
I've seen it several times now and it's still a very powerful filmdon't think I'll ever get tired of it. I think it's all the emotions that Guy puts into The Rover is what I like best about it. He deserved an Oscar for that!

Well 'Results' is not my kind of movies so that may be the reason I enjoyed it, I just could not get critically-minded)) It was new experience and so was Guy. He is so, you know, life-size here, the way he talks, waves his hands, etc., it's all like I've seen him outside movies. He's so brisk, candid, heart on the sleeve, and - last but not least - he's in such good shape here! Sum it up, isn't he terrific!? 😉

Yeah, I understand what you're saying in the sense that he seemed more like his "real self"that was the only thing I actually liked about the movie. It's always neat to get a glimpse of what a celebrity is or may be like in their, somewhat, every day lifeit's more personable. He had to go to the gym a lot to bulk up for this filmas he also did for Lockout (2012). Talk about great shapeOMG he was gorgeous in Lockout! You absolutely MUST see it if you haven't already! Guy is quite the chameleonand, yeshe is definitely terrific!!
