Im just waiting for one of those idiots to show up and say no she's not, she's Hispanic
So basically, you posted that to provoke a pointless, silly argument with someone. And on a board that has little traffic. Are you bored?
maybe you are one of them?
No. I suggest you get over your obsession with race, though. -

Simply put, Rosie as well as most Puerto Ricans are a mixture of Spanish, African and Taino blood. Some have more African (like Rosie), some have more Spanish and some have more Taino mix. All in all they(the Puerto Ricans) are a mixture of all of these people. They are latinos. You can be caucasion and latino and black and latino. It's not a difficult concept.

Yeah, I heard her say that too, but I don't buy it. I suspect there's some african blood in there (maybe her family wanted to hide it and its been forgotten, which is not uncommon). Looking at her face, and her hair texture, I personally believe that her looks are a result of are " throw-back" gene telling a tale about her family history. Not uncommon. My cousin and her husband both have brown eyes and brown hair kinky/curly111c hair. their son, however has loosl curled light blond hair, blue eyes and paler skin than the both of them. He looks like the both of them, it just the colors and the hair texture that makes him look so different.

If Puerto Ricans are so stubborn about not being black, even if they clearly are, then why are they always settling into black neighborhoods, wearing black styles of clothing, listening to black music, wearing braids and doo-rags, etc.?

Not all the puertorrican are blacks, if yo5b4u see an african american, you are not going to say that all the americans are blacks, Rosie Perez is obviously a mix of black and Spanish with Taino indian blood, but many puertorricans are whites because their families come from european countries like the former president of the Olimpic team of Puerto Rico, the puertorrican German Rieckehoff Sampayo, his family was from Germany and Spain. And you can check other puertorricans that are whites like Dayanara Torres, she has black hair now, but she is a natural blonde and with blue eyes, others white puertorricans are Freddie Prinze, Jr., Denisse Quinonez and Frankie Muniz. In Puerto Rico people descend also from England, Scotland, like the President of the Senate of Puerto Rico, Kenneth Mc Klintock, or Ireland, like the actual mayor of the city of Guaynabo, Hector O` Neill, Italy, France and from other part of the world not only Europe like Asia, and other parts of Latin America. In the mountains from the center of the island, you can see many puertorricans with blond hair and blue or green eyes more frecuently than in the coast where the people are more mix with the black race.
