This is not totally correct. Many white skin Puerto Ricans still have African ancestry but they have been able to "whiten" up the current generations within their family in some of these cases. There is MUCH research done to prove this. Just because they are white "looking" does not mean there is no African down the road in that family line. Based on the history of Puerto Rico it would be damn near impossible for any descedent of that race to deny that there is an African or several African ancestors lurking within their family tree.
Daynara actually does not look Caucasian white even with the blonde hair. She looks like a mulata with a dye job. She actually reminds me of a white/black mulata at times. Take a look at Robert Dinero's adopted daughter( she is black/white) if you don't believe meShe and Daynara could pass for sisters. At the end of the day, there is nothing wrong with African ancestry so anyone that is denying it is an a disgrace to its beautiful history anyway. -

doesnt matter what she is it is what's in your heart and what you identify with. don't be so ignorant. puerto ricans are the best culture in the world and beautiful people. you know why? because it is a fact that we are mixed with every culture in the world but still love and maintain our pride and roots. she is of the human race and trying to make a difference. what color she is just doesnt matter unless you are that shallow.

She's a mulata. She's mixed. She's half white from Spaniard ancestry ,and half black. Her skin is light. She's not completely black. She's like Halle Berry. Berry is not Puerto Rican though. She's american. Berry's also a mulato. Lena Horne is one but she passes for white. JLo too. Puerto Ricans are mostly mullatos. Rosie is hispanic. She's Puerto Rican American.

someone said earlier in this topic that puertoricans have ancestors from europe,thats true, my gradnmother traced her ancestors in ellis island 4 yeatrs ago and we found german,spaniard,thaino,and irish ancestors,alot of my friends r puertoricans nd they told that they have white ancestry,puerto-ricans have ancestors like: german,scottish,irish,african,native american,thaino inidna and some even have asian but rarley

Puertorricans look like Spanish, Greek, German, Italian, French, etc. because they have European Heritage. Latin people is not a race, is more a group of nationalities or countries( Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Cuba, Panama, etc.) sharing the same language, of Latin Origin, in this case, the Spanish language. In Puerto Rico, like others hispanic countries, as an example, you can see people of all the races from white people with blond hair and blue eyes, as i said because of their European heritage( Spanish, English, Italian, French, German, etc.), people from Asia(China, Japan, etc.), people mix with native american, people from Africa and even from the Middle East and Jewish.
