I'm putting this out there now. It is two days after "The Shield" broadcast its last episode, and I think the final scene between CCH and Michael Chiklis was nothing short of one of the best single moments in American television.
Shield fans have been waiting 7 years for Claudette, her character, to tell Chiklis' Vic Mackey exactly where he could stick his corruption, and she did it with such force, such grace and such perfection, that the only reasonable reaction is an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama.
CCH, if you read this, know there is one Shield fan out there who thinks your portrayal of Claudette was one of the finest anywhere on TV, cable or otherwise.
Cheers. -

I got tired of her character most of the first 5 seasons and couldn't figure out why she had such a fan section in the series.
But, for me at least, she really hit it out of the park in the last two seasons. I didn't like her as a detective but for some reason I thought she was excellent when she made captain. -

CCH is an unbelievable actress. The scene in the interrogation room was one of the best ever put on film. Then her line about the first payment is due now was just indescribable. I haven't even fully processed the episode and its been several weeks now, but the Emmy should unquestionably go to her for that scene and the scene in the previous episode where Claudette learns that Vic has received immunity for all his crimes. CCH portrayed such a brutal, honest, gut-wrenching breakdown. It's one of those few scenes that will be with me forever.
On a lighter note, can't wait to see her in Avatar!! -

She really is amazing in the last 2 episodes of the series. Of course, I think she's remarkable throughout, but she really brings it home. The way she tweaks Dutch's tie when she says the bit about him just continuing to do what friends do and that it means a lotit showed that not only could she rant and rave with the best of them, she shined in the quiet, subtle moments, too.
CCH as Claudette is truly one of the best portrayals of a character by an actress on TV. Just fantastic. -

Yeah she's amazing in The Shield, she pulls off the emotions her character goes through amazingly.
I was pissed and impressed when her character locked up Ronnie, some great acting from her and the rest of the cast. -

I feel like about half way through, the wr111citers turned on her character. When she was a detective at Vic's same level, she was a formidable alternative and possible rival. Once they moved her into a position of authority and gave her mysterious health problems, they made her character ineffectual against him. She was kind reduced to being just another Wile E. Coyotes chasing Vic's team of Roadrunners. Also, they took away most of her opportunities to have effective acting scenes by keeping her out of the interrogation room.
