Happy centenary, George. To us baby boomers, you're still super at 100.
You were a much better actor than you are generally given credit for being, and it shows in the depth of your performances in "Adventures of Superman." Yes, you will always be known as the Man of Steel (and, of course, as Clark Kent), but you were more than that: You were, by all accounts, a wonderful man, too.
Your work apart from the series, while not nearly as well known because it is rarely seen, also is excellent, especially your role in "So Proudly We Hail!"
You were quoted as wondering, during your Superman years, if you had even one fan who was an adult. Yes, George, you have a legion of them, me included.
Happy 100th birthday, George, and thanks from all of us.
