I just saw the movie today and the acting was fantastic. The acting kept my interest. One of Ben's best acting to date. I always had a gut feeling that it was murder not suicide. I don't believe that George killed himself.

The movie made it hard to believe that Reeves killed himself. The fact that there is blood all over the walls and the bullets in the ceiling and floor when the bullet hole was through the side of his head. Plus, the bruises on his body. These, especially the random bullet holes everywhere, suggest there was a murder. Very good movie. All parts were well portrayed. Adrien Brody, Diane Lane, Bob Hoskins, and Ben Affleck give their best. Interesting story. Sad that they never found out if he committed suicide or if he was murdered.

Bob Hoskins was great in this. But BA??? he has had better pictures. But no matter, when you are as rich as BA and have your own production company you can keep buying and making your own movies. Every once in a while you might have a hit. That is all that BA is good for shooting craps. And he has about as good of odds as turing in a decent performance.

At the end of the movie Adrian Brody's character is watching a tape of Reeves practicing wrestling moves and he sees Reeves wincing in pain. It was all of the rolling around to get the wrestling moves down that gave Reeves the bruises on his torso and arms (I saw this movie six months ago and forgot it pretty much before the credits were rolling, so I can't say exactly where the bruises were). Anyhow, Reeves must have been feeling himself getting along in age, putting up with bruising his body for his new gig, and seeing his career coming to the indignity of a future of wrestling, bruises, and pain. That's why he became depressed and killed himself. The movie pointed the viewer in the direction of suicide as the cause of death and Adrian Brody's character realized that whichever character (can't remember) gave him the tape to look at was intending to settle Brody's own doubt about the "mystery".

That theory makes a lot of sense. It's so tragic that he felt so low as to kill himself.

Well if there really were bullet holes in the floor and ceiling it would indicate he was either a very poor shot, or someone else was doing the shooting. One also doesn't usually strip naked to commit suicide.

And his head was angled to the side when the gun went off. People that suicide with guns, keep their head straight. Also the shell casing was found UNDER his body.

It was a good film and engaged my interest throughout but I was sure we would be told who killed him. It was ambiguous and left in the air.
