I am sure this has been covered somewhere on this board before but I am really interested in seeing any pics of the crime scene. The bruises, the bullet casing under the body, and the angle of the bullet into the wall that may or may not match up with the entry and exit wounds.
It just seems odd that there are no pics to be found anywhere. The Black Dahlia Elizabeth Short crime scene can be simply google imaged to see that poor woman's horrific mutilation, yet I cant find a single pic of the Reeves aftermath.
The Reeves case has always been interesting to m470e.
Thanks for any info.

Supposedly no crime scene photos were taken as "it was clearly a suicide" and in such cases photos were not deemed important or necessary. You have to understand that police procedures were much different way back when, and while this is no reflection on the various departments or personnel things were less professional as well. That's not to say they were amateurs but the state of the art was far more crude then than now.
Elizabeth Short was a horrendous murder and as such was handled and investigated as such. That's why there are so many photos of herplus there were many news reporters crawling over the scene taking pics as well.
Because this was a "clear cut suicide" the investigation became more of processing of paperwork rather than working the scene. Numerous people were in and out of the house and bedroom contaminating whatever evidence there may have existed. Some of this was already altered by the people in the house.it's been reported that one of the guests took the bloody sheets on the bed and put them in the bathtub to spark Leonore the shock of seeing them. Personally I think this is nonsensical as she was about as sensitive as a starving sharkbut that doesn't mean that someone didn't have this concern on their mind. In extraordinary situations like this people will do odd things (especially when people were as drunk as they were). Removal of the sheets may explain why the shell casing was found beneath Georgeand why it hadn't burned him (as it had originally fallen elsewhere and had cooled in the interim before finally finding it's way beneath him) Nah, I haven't been giving this a lot of thought! LOL
The angles DO match up, claims to the contrary are oft repeated inaccuracies. There's a saying that goes something like "if you repeat a lie long enough and loud enough it's eventually accepted as the truth"
Having said all of that, I have on good authority that there ARE morgue photos of him (which a dark part of me desires to see). There's also a photo of him in the casket wearing his classic gray Clark Kent suit. -

I'm not convinced that's always the case. There are photographs from the death scenes of other famous suicides like
LUPE VELEZ
,
MARILYN MONROE
