He was really a pretty good journeyman actor, even his B stuff, he's better than the headliner
Had he lived, I believe his career would have gotten better
The Superman gig may have hurt him in the short term, but would have been an asset later on.
TV was getting bigger and better, movies were changeing
you just don't give up a job that pays 2500$ a week in the 50s. Thats like 22,000$ now.
