I feel the same way, Cinderling. I also feel kind of silly - she was an actress who I've never met before.
But she seemed like a wonderful person and she died so tragically young. And when I was a kid, she was the only famous "Richardson" I had heard of (also my last name), so I was drawn to her and made a point to see all the movies she was in.
I think those are the reasons her death has affected me so much.

You're not alone. I loved Natasha's work onscreen, as well as her work for causes offscreen. I'm a fan of all the Redgraves/Richardsons. I had the honor of meeting Vanessa Redgrave outside the theatre before a performance of Vita and Virginia. She was so gracious, not to mention stunning. I think that's the other reason I'm so haunted by what happened to Natasha. The loss the whole family must still feel seems overwhelming. I lost my father when he was just 40; that was nearly 40 years ago, and it still hurts like hell. I can't bear to see so much talent lost before its time. Of how many more incredible Redgrave/Richardson family projects have her tragic accident deprived us? It's just too sad for words.

Totally agree, I still miss her too. To lose her so young must still be awful for her family, I don't know how the5b4y have managed to cope with it!

I remember when I first saw her in the movie "The Parent Trap" with Lindsay Lohan, I thought she is a good actress. Since then I have seen lots of movies of Natasha, I don't know which is my favorite movie.

              My absolute favorites are:
              The White Countess
              The Parent Trap
              Patty Hearst
              Widow's Peak
              Past Midnight
She's totally different in each of those films.

I'll bet if all her fans posted their favorites the entire list would include every film she made. She was that amazing.

My favorite is Nell. She and Liam Neeson were so beautiful, it was almost distracting. I had to see it twice because I couldn't take my eyes off them the first time.

The pain must be excruciating, though Liam seems incredibly strong. The whole family does. You should definitely watch The White Countess. I found it haunting, no less to have Vanessa and Lynn on hand, too, as well as the ever entrancing Ralph Fiennes. The film has a few flaws, but it's worth renting.
I also adored Richardson in Gothic, Patty Hearst, A Month in the Country and The Comfort of Strangers, as well as in The Copper Beeches episode of Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett years).

Yeah I loved her t5b4he most in The Parent Trap because she was just so warm and lovable!
But she was perfect in every role she portrayed - in both dramatic and more comedic roles. That's how good she was.
It's been 2 years since she's been gone and I miss her more now than ever before.
Get on with your life. If it's meant to happen, it'll happen.

I loved her in Waking up in Reno, not the best film, but she looked so beautiful and I thought she was by far the best actor there!
