Another installment to the Mexico trilogy?

Yes, Rodriguez should do another one. OUATIM is part 4 indeed. So he should do part 3. I think he wrote the script (called Pistolero) already a long time ago. Would be a good idea to continue where Desperado ends. They say this is his "Dollar-trilogy", so lets hope the next one will be at least half as great as Leones part 3: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

I'm happy with what I got. a fourth mariachi movie would take away the "mariachi trilogy". Some directors think there's always that one story they think is missing but in the end didn't need anyway. Worse is that they either truly believe that, or they just use it as an excuse to try and squeeze more money out of the franchise. I hope Robert Rodriguez is neither.

Screw Sin City; screw Spy Kids; screw Machete. I want another El Mariachi movie. El could have been our Sartana or Django.
I don't know what I want to see in another El Mariachi movie, but I'd love to see Rodriguez go old school and use his rebel filmmaker tricks. Use only what you can get for free, live with your mistakes and edit around them etc
Second best would be producing a new one with someone else directing.
I'll torture you so slowly, you'll think it's a career. -

Ya'll are talking about how you'd love to see a mariachi movie that takes place after "Desperado" and before "Once Upon a Time In Mexico". I happen to have just that for you!

You know what he should do? I've thought this for a long time. He should get Johnny Depp back and make a follow-up on the (now blind) corrupt CIA guy. That character was awesome.
If you can have Zatoichi, a blind swordsman, then why not a blind gunman? -

Actually, for all of you knocking the poster and saying he can't count, RObert himself said in the commentary for Once Upon a Time5b4 in Mexico that the flashbacks were to a 3rd film that was never made, which (in his own words) is why the flashbacks to his life were so violent and action packed.
And count me in for a spin-off Blind Gunman story.
Just my one cent since I can't afford two.
