While I still have Posters, cast lists, plot descriptions, ETC. to add
Registered Members may now easily discuss all of her films with each other.

As a loyal fan of Miss Ginger Rogers, I really care about trying to create something other fans will enjoy, and will also honor Ginger memory
Many people are flocking to IMDb V2.0 as a replacement for the IMDb boards in general, but I am sure, that as many of you have seen, it really is more of a "Grand Central Station" of the entertainment world, than having any kind of devotion to one particular Franchise or Actress. Sure. You can create a thread or two over there to discuss Ginger or a couple of her movies. But it won't be very detailed, and everything will get dumped into one place and it wont be organized. If it ever does get organized, it won't happen anytime soon.
That's not something I wish to see, when it comes to Miss Rogers and her career. We need to keep all of us, Gingerologists, together.
Also, I witnessed a flamer target the boards about 10 hours ago. He made a post on every single board with one of the most disgusting pictures I have ever seen.
It was like watching a waterfall, going over an empty ice tray. A board would get hit, then the one below, and the one below that. I thought it would go all the way to the bottom. Only about half the boards were hit, and then the poster quit.
Fortunately, that person and their posts are now gone. But it happened. And with a place like that with so many members, with so many different interests, it will happen again and probably several more times in the coming months.
I can't promise you that it won't ever happen on my board But, with it being a specific interest website, with the expectation of just having a small group of members..5b4. The odds are extremely low that it will happen, and if it does, I will take care of it immediately. You can at least feel confident in that, and won't have to worry about it happening on a regular basis, like at IMDb v2.0.
The colors are soothing to the eyes as well.
My forum is nearly identical to what you see at IMDb v2.0. They are both run by ProBoards and used the same basic software. If you can use their forum, you can use mine. Mine when started, looked just like IMDb.
But as I understand Miss Ginger Rogers, aka "PINKIE", loved the color Pink. So I changed the color from blue to pink. I also kept the links blue since her eyes were blue. I don't plan to do much more to it, other than perhaps tweaking the color shades a tad, if need be, to make it even more easier to read. At some point, I may also add a website banner to the top of the forum, just above the menu. It would replace that default gradient "thing".

Yes, as owner, Of course I would like to see all of the Gingerologists here, become members, even if you folks only stop by every once in awhile

5b4When IMDb closes this board in 11 days, if anyone doesn't have it bookmarked in some way, you might have trouble finding it, later on, when you do want to join.
I would hate for that to happen.

Running a site like IMDb, requires a lot of work, and it is time consuming. (But it also isn't the only thing I am doing I do have other interest)
However, with having only 17 days before IMDb shuts the boards down
Creating a new site from scratch, getting it up and running, and getting it useful to others has been my focus. Some things may be a bit random, and other things are not very detailed. But I have tried to set up a wide variety of things to be able to showcase potential new members what we will be able to do there.
Once, IMDb shuts down, I'll spend more of my time on polishing the place up.
When members start using it, I also focus on meeting their particular interests too.
I have created a couple of "temporary" boards for members to start posting and get the ball rolling until them. I can move and sort threads later on.
