Roseanne is older and wiser now, not to mention she is no longer disillusioned by fame and all that it brings. She's been at the top and the bottom and has learned to take it all as it comes. I've been a fan of hers for many, many years and I'm proud of the progress she's made as a person. I was also really happy to hear that she's reunited with her sister, Geraldine after all those years.

I agree, both women are oddly similar, in many ways. They broke taboos in the mediaoverweight, unglamorous women with substance! Go figure!!
Roseanne is a catch-22: she embraces an image of being unattractive, unpleasant, and differentbut she holds an amazing talent that actually is very smart and funny.
The sad part is when many people dismiss her for her appearance/persona, and miss her "point" completely. They're missing out on a wise, funny person!!!
