I am up for the role of Dolly Tate in Broadway's revival of "Annie Get Your Gun. I'll show these people I have range!" Calls to Chan and his agent were not returned.

Newsflash: Paulie the Parrot, coming off the success of his movie "Paulie," will be playing a dog in an upcoming movie adaptation of retro TV favorite "Lassie." Paulie will be reading for the title role. Said 238Paulie, "I know it's a stretch, and the makeup department will have their work cut out for them, but dammit, I just got so tired of being pigeon-holed." Sources report the parrot, slash "actor," was unavailable for further comment.
He is currently on retreat. The shooting schedule is expected to be grueling, and he is laying low after a recent scandal erupted over an alleged racial slur. Btw, Newsflash: Hollywood continues to run rampant with white actors playing white characters. "Stereotyping" to be addressed in a panel. Stars fed up and frustrated. Production may grind to a halt as a strike looms

Newsflash: Captain Obvious has just been seen flying over Los Angeles. Sources report he's not fighting crimejust looking for a clue. In entertaiment news, Steven Segal just landed the part of another squinting white guy who happens to know a lot of karate. News crews hope to get his reaction, and are waiting on-set as Steven busts heads and saves another box of kittens from a band of violent thugs. We expect filming to wrap at noon. Tune in tonight.

I'm sorry for being late to this conversation. The type of blatant ignorance and buffoonery in yvettesgonefishing's posts is the main reason I never visit these forums. I know I have no business in this conversation, but felt like I would interject in the hopes that yvette would get her proverbial "head" out of her proverbial "ass".
See, I can use quotes too! It usually denotes that the author is borrowing someone else's words to describe something; this is used to help the reader understand their point better. I will be using them again in the next paragraph.
The term "Arab-American" was used, Which Mr. Shalhoub is. People of this creed usually portray terrorists, a sad but true stereotype in our media. "Why can't a African- or Asian-American play a terrorist once in a while?" one might ask. I do not see any racism whatsoever in her comment, and the fact that you are going off the handle about it just shows you are one of may naive slugs who waste internet bandwidth posting illogical, idiotic drivel several thousand times a day. -

Speaking of buffoonery.
I first attempted to respond to that idiot's original post and he got rude and stupid with me. I got stupid back. It was a racist post. He didn't say an arab american actor was playing non-arab partshe says "white." Then tries to say he's also of arab descent about 15 posts latermeaning he's no more an arab than I am but is now trying to dodge being accused of being racist.
Only backwater wasp racists try to differentiate like that so that only anglo protestants of european descent are considered white.
Tony Shalhoub IS white. It was a patently racist post.
Still I tried to respond in a temperate manner. He was an idiot and he wa2000s rude. I'm sorry if anyone was put off by the way i chose to deal with a particular rude poster in here but some of us are just fed up with snippy, snide, rude, and racist posters in here, and still, I think I chose a fairly humorous way to respondI've seen people get downright nasty when being trolled at.
Like many other people in here, I'm polite when people are polite with me. If someone trolls on me, I troll back. I abhor racist posts. It's 2008. He needs to keep that crap out of here.
