Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Craig Sheffer

    tnrockyraccoon — 16 years ago(January 01, 2010 04:59 PM)

I think it's geico anyway, but it could be another insurance commercial.
The pitch goes something like this with the actor in question asking if their insurance company can save you money? Then he asks, "is too tall Jones really too tall"? And the picture changes to Too Tall Jones on a scale at a doctors office.
Have you seen this commercial? The actor carries a strong resemblance to Craig.

Maybe a resemblance, but not him; the actor in that commercial is a bit younger than Craig Sheffer.

I'm with you. I am wondering the same thing I think it is him.

No, it is the actor Mike McClone. He was in "The Brothers McMullan" with Edward Burns back in the mid 90's as well as "She's the One". He's probably in his early 40's. He doesn't have that GEICO voice in those movies, but hey I guess that's good acting.

Actually, that's why I looked up Craig Sheffer today to find out if he was the actor in "The Brothers McMullen", "She's the One" and the new Geico commercials. Thanks for identifying Mike McGlone correctly. So, at least I'm not the ONLY person that thinks they look or seem similar.

seriously, everyone thought he got incredibly skinny and lost about 10 years from his life to star in a Geico commercial??

                  Mike Mc "Clone" you say?
Reason is a pursuit, not a conclusion.
