What do you think of Howard Stern

Too many entertaining regular guests died + no Jackie + no Stuttering John = less funny
Stern is best when he can speak his mind. In recent years, whiners complain when he does.
Anyway, I enjoy his show enough to still listen. -

From Sept 1st 1983 to Jan 1st 2005 I listened every day.
I have not listened to him in 20 years. People used to post his entire show from Sirius the first 5 or 6 years. So I saw shows as well on YouTube.
Before Sirius had youtube ban all of those accounts.
Look , no one knows more about Stern and his entire career than I.
It's too tedious to get into why I loved his Radio show and listened for 22 years.
I could write 10 books on Stern.
And its also too tedious to explain the 100 reasons why he has become a complete clown and and joke the last 20 years.
I will say one last thing though.
The Best years of the show without question or debate are Jan 1st 1988 to Jan 1st 1996. The Billy West Years.
Once 1996 came, Billy was gone because Howard wouldn't pay him a fair salary.
The show was good before Billy and great after Billy.
But during the Billy West years , The show was not only the best show on Radio but also the best show in all of Entertainment.

In his early years, Stern could do hysterically funny material literally nonstop for an hour with zero writing staff. The man has comedic talent.
He was hungrier in his early years to succeed = edgier, anti-social, bitter, creative, daring, funny
Privately, he was miserable, depressed, angry, etc.. The therapy helped him, but hurt the show. Mentally healthy Stern isn't the same as mentally-ill Stern.
His pretending to be a regular middle-class guy for the show when he's a multimillionaire celebrity stopped making sense to him. He didn't go Hollywood. His success made him a part of Hollywood and he finally stopped pretending to be otherwise.
Some accuse him of becoming "woke", but that was always a part of his personality. Remember when he used to have contests and gave the losers the prize anyway? Or when he was going to make fun of the homeless, but ended up helping them with an apartment, wardrobe, money and job? And when he noticed that Jessica Hahn was being pounded by reporters so he reached out and saved her life?
No one can maintain the creative momentum Stern had going indefinitely. At some point, Stern was going to change by becoming more mellow as he aged and settling down.
If you behave the same at 71 as you did at 21, then something is seriously wrong with you.
I believe major hits to the show's quality were the nonstop ads, no more bits, no more Robin's news, Jackie's departure, Stuttering John departure, deaths of great guests and wackpackers. And yes, Stern changed by becoming older and happier.
I still listen although not as much. But, I'll always be grateful to Howard for getting me pass the hard times in my life by making me laugh each morning. I'm still a fan and always will be. -

I wrote this and you obviously copied and pasted it. So maybe ur not Donna. Ur probably either Frankenfag or Vlad. Cause only they post word for word things that I have written.
Not sure how far back you had to go to find that.
But I wrote that.
And it's hysterical that you wouldnt think I recognize my own writing.
I ALWAYS do.
As I have said many times.
I dont think anyone spoke or posted before I arrived here.
Because ALL of you have simply copy and paste me and then post my own writings and try to pass them off as your own. Ie this post of mine you found and reposted

Nah! I spent an hour writing my post. If I'd known about your post, I wouldn't have bothered since we must feel similarly about Stern. I tend to defend him and Robin.
Impossible to know what you wrote in the past since your setting is private. I just checked. What do you fear? I'm showing mine, now show yours.
Anyway, I'm part of the recent exodus from moviechat. I don't do socks.
I think this site is mainly British posters which is why few write about Stern. I was hoping to listen to him live today, but the lazybones took another day off which is my reason for hanging out here. -
