Well, I'm going to reserve judgment on the Alan Thicke question and just go on the record stating my belief that it was probably for the best that Kristy chose Alan instead of Kirk.
Now, I don't really have a grudge against Cameron, but I think he's a bit of a "weirdie." He just went off the rails when he joined that new church. All of a sudden, GROWING PAINS wasn't family-friendly enough for him. Freaking GROWING PAINS!
It got to the point where he didn't want anyone who had appeared in an "adult" magazine on the set. I wonder how he would have felt about Kristy's 2002 PLAYBOY appearance.

Yeah according to his son Robin, Alan always had a thing for much younger women and was involved with a number of different young women over the years. Typical Hollywood actors who use their fame and money to sleep with as many really young women as they can
