You posted on this thread 11 times and not one of them had anything to do with Rod Taylor
This is absolutely plain to anyone who scrolls down this thread. And none of the deleted posts had anything to do with Taylor eitherapart from using him as a launch pad for more grousing over the fact that there are people in the world older than herself, and bitching about the fact that they dare reminisce with one another in public.
I said it elsewhere, and I'll say it herecoming onto an obit/tribute thread and using it as a soapbox for personal grievances that have nothing at all relevant to say about the performer or his work is disrespectful.
And I likely should keep to my own rule about this, and not post an essentially OP message here, but this annoys me enough that I'm hard-pressed to refrain from doing so. That said, I'll not place any further posts on this thread that aren't directly relevant to Rod and his films. -

I said it before and I'll say it again: Anything that doesn't include them -no matter what it is- is considered a personal insult to the narcissistic personality.
using it as a soapbox for personal grievances that have nothing at all relevant to say about the performer or his work is disrespectful.
And classicly passive/aggressive, at that. Call her on her boorish behavior and out comes "the victim card" -we're all a bunch of malevolent, baby-booming "long time friends" ganging up on the oldest living "newbie" in the history of IMDb, a tender lamb who only comes here to discuss film.
That said, I'll not place any further posts on this thread that aren't directly relevant to Rod and his films.
It's not you, 'amy', or me, either -it's
The Curse Of The Swamp Creature
, I tells ya.

And who is asking anyone to reply to me?
It goes without saying that posting on an open forum invites replies whether you like them or not but since you're as thick as a slab of Canadian bacon, I'll state the obvious for you.
No one is forced to address my comments.
No one here is forced to do anything, azzhole -and what are you so defensive about, anyway, since
any
kind of attention is better than none to the
narcissistic personality
, no?
The generational issue is fair game on the film boards.
And so are you.

Aww.resorting to personal attacks, are we? I find that some folks will generally do that when they have nothing else to say.
Awthat's the second time you've played "the victim card" on this thread. When all else fails, right? And, of course, you'd know all about having nothing to say.

Actually, considering how often you bring up this point in your postsyes, I think it probably does.
I'm not condoning it, and folks ought not to do thisbut if it bothers you, you should speak up instead of hiding behind a layer of faux unconcern. -

This is the
third
time you've played "the victim card" on this thread and it's become as tiresome as you are.
Try putting on your bifocals and wade through this miasmic swamp of yours and you'll find that all I said
on this particular thread
was:
"you're as thick as a slab of Canadian bacon"
-and although you might consider that a "personal attack", I call it a cold, hard fact. A jackhammer couldn't penetrate your thick skull. If I'd wanted to take a swipe at your "looks" (aka "weight"), I'd have said:
"you're as thick as a slab of Canadian bacon in more ways than one"
But now that you've brought it up-
Do you think it really matters to me if some strangers online make cracks about the way I look?
Yes, I do -in fact you count on it.
You continually refer to yourself on other boards as a "beached whale" but I can see through you like cellophane (a pretty grisly thought, come to think of it) and know that your "cutesy" remark is nothing but a last-ditch tool in a threadbare bag of tricks when all else fails. You put out 5b4
weight bait
in the hopes you'll get a bite so's you can wrap yourself in (a very large) cloak of righteousness and play "the victim card" in a
calculated
bit for sympathy and support. Pul-leaze.
I make no apologies for anything I've ever said to you -
EVER- but BOTTOME LINE: if you don't want "personal attacks",
DON'T GO FISHING
. It's as simple as that. But you will, it's what you count on.
Good day, madame.

I think that some of the Boomers (especially on the CFB) are a bit irked because my generation knows of things like typewriters and phones with cords.
I work with predominantly people under 40, and not one of them is unfamiliar with any of these items. I'm not sure why this should be news to you. It certainly isn't to me. As for being 'irked' by itwell, I tend to save my irk for actual issues, as opposed to imaginary and/or gratuitous ones.
And pardonnez moi for breaking my own ukase one final time.
