I'm watching the pilot for Hart to Hart dated 1979 and Jill St. John is in it. I know Natalie didn't die until 1981 so I was curious as to when he started up with Jill?

He started dating Jill only about 2 months after Nat drowned! That's how much he supposedly loved Natalie. 7 months later Jill was with Wagner and he and Nats daughters and his eldest daughters H S graduation - that's how close he already was with Jill! I can't stand him!!

I have that on VHS. Stella Stevens is hilarious in it. She and Jill St. John both dated the same mob lawyer, Sidney Korshak. I wonder if they chatted during filming?

I'm sure they did. According to Robert and Stefanie's commentary special of the pilot episode, all of them were "friends." Stefanie was real good friends with Roddy McDowell.
