I totally agree with you. Rachel was amazing in The Thorn Birds. Couldn't imagine any one else playing Meggie.
I personally liked her acting.
But the only thing that put us of her when you play the interviews. I got the feeling when she was talking bout The Thorn Birds that she never really wanted the part. She was just init for the money. Which didn't make her look good. Fans remember. But during that interview- she definitely didn't want to be part of it or associated with The Thorn Birds. She never wanted to do the part. Very very awkward interview.
Which is a shame coz she is a bloody amazing actress. In some ways l can fully understand why she is the way she is. So many people people picked on her & where Nasty bout her.
So she probably lost heart in acting and Thorn Birds is reminder of all that.
Rachel if you ever read this : you are amazing actress. You was amazing in Thorn Birds & you played meggie so well. People can be so nasty & cruel - But don't let them get to you Racheal get to you.
You was one of the strongest actors in the show.
