Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Frank Whaley

There's no real debate here. He is one of my favorite actors. Every time I see him somewhere, I'll point him out and say it's really cool to see him. He doesn't get a whole lot of work but I am glad to see him when I do. I really hope it isn't true what people are saying about Frank and his health. I'd like to think that he is doing fine. Most people are right, his best work was in Swimming with Sharks. A really good dark comedy and it was nice to see him do something off-color. It's nice that they have sections for each actor because it's cool that you can see that there are others who like actors that you thought that only yourself liked. Frank Whaley, one of the very under-appreciated greats.

I concur. Frank Whaley is a terrific character actor. He's especially excellent in "Retroactive" and the recent "Vacancy."
Don't expect much and you will never be disappointed.

Yes, I would like to underline that statement. Just seen Vacancy, and I thought his part was so convincing it was scary. Extremely well done, Frank!
        I'm holding an 'I Don't Give A Sh*t'-o-meter and the needle's not moving.

Frank Whaley is my favourite actor. He is brilliant, specially, in "Cafe Society", "Swimming with Sharks", "The Jimmy Show" and "Pulp Fiction".

            Totally agree Viper,
This guy is brilliant. I have watched so many crap movies, just to see his work. I don't care what anyone else says on this board, if Frank is in it, I will support it.
            Just an opinion.

It seems like a massive overstatement, but sometimes it5b4 occurs to me that this guy might be on of the best actors ever. At the very least, whenever I see him, I am either amused or impressed, but always entertained.
