I just watched her play the villain of the week on The Blacklist. It was such a pleasure to see her; it made me realize how much I've enjoyed her work over the years. She's such an understated actress who generally plays fairly "quiet" roles that I don't immediately think of her when mentally listing my favorites, but she's great.

Yeah, same with me. For some reason, Dianne does not come up when I am thinking up my favorite actress lists. But I'd rather watch her than Meryl Streep. I haven't seen her give a less than interesting performance. And what range! From her battered wife in "Independence Day" to the emotionally edgy, kinda flaky-kinda not sister in "Hannah and Her Sisters" and her Norma Desmond cartoon character in "Bullets Over the Broadway", she does it all equally well. And I haven't even seen her on the tv show. Yeah, she's great.
