I agree with you about 100%. She is beautiful, talented, and has a great personality and you just don't hate people like that. And yes, she deserves more leading roles.
No wonder Tom Hanks married her. -

yeah, tom is always talking about how much he loves her and how lucky he is to have a woman like her. Its very sweet.
In his acceptance speeches for like the G. Globes and oscars, he always says the sweetest things to his wife.
I think its the rarest thing to see a married couple in hollywood thats been married for 17 5b4years and still look like they just got off their honeymoon.
To Tom and Rita! -

Yes, you're absolutely right. And it's also the rarest thing to see a married couple in Hollywood that's been married for 17 years and is not getting a divorce. All that money, all that fame, and they still love each other. Amazing

Totally agree with you. But just so you know, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward have been married for over 46 years, another Hollywood couple who have been together for a long time, so cheers to both couples for truly being committed.

I know, everytime I see them together, I just get this dopey grin on myda0 face, it's sad, it really is. I just love how, when you see them on the red carpet or whatever, and Rita is talking, Tom just watches her talk with this look on his face, you know the one? The lovesick puppy look, it makes me kinda jealous, because I want a relationship like that hehe.
Naturally, we don't see them at home, but still, we can live in the fantasy that they have the perfect marriageand maybe they do?
And because I am bored, I've decided to write out this, taken from the journal of Doug Hutchison (Percy) during the filming of 'The Green Mile'. I've condensed it in a couple of places, but it's pretty much the same.
"Tom Hank's lovely wife, Rita Wilson, visits the set.
Rita rushes straight for Tom. He lights up and one thing is crystal-clear: he's very much in love. They catch up and then Tom introduces Rita around. She is delightful. As Rita converses with Frank, I lean over to Tom and say, "She's adorable." Tom replies, "Don't I know it. Yep, I scored big time."
Rita eventually pulls up an apple box and sits in the tunnel just a foot or two from the action. We plunge back into the scene and for the first time ever, Tom botches his lines - twice! I think: I'll be darned; even Tom Hanks can get nervous and flustered. The Oscars, the Emmy, The Tonight Show, the speeches, interviews and other big "star stuff" - maybe they're all a piece of cake compared to a partner, the person who matters most, sitting on an apple box a mere foot away, watching you do your thing."
All together now: Awww!

That is the sweetest thing! You can tell Tom and Rita are perfect for each other. It's so refreshing to see a married couple like that in Hollywood. Thanks for sharing that, savvyjacksgirl!

^ Jealous.
"Tom was hankerin for"
Ugh.
That's the worst pun I've ever heard
Only dumbass fangirls uses those kinds of puns.
Last I recall, I remember this other pun these fangirls used for some alternative rock band, the Goo Goo Dolls: "John in the John in the John" which was used because the GGD's took a photoshoot in a public restroom.
Fangirls make me sick.
On topic, Congrats to Tom and Rita I guess. I love the former, but know nothing of the latter. Still, I wish them the best.
