I am really surprised that no one on this Message Board has mentioned Tom's book, The Masked Man, that came out last October. It answers, in a very compelling way, the main question that seems to be obsessing everyone on this board, i.e., Tom's decision not to sign BTTF stuff anymore. This book is available only on Kindle and is incredibly entertaining and well-written, using a literary device that I do not want to give away but makes this one of the best autobiographies of an entertainer I've ever come across.
Beyond this, I want to agree with many of you that Tom is an incredibly nice man, and extremely talented actor, comedian, artist (painter), and writer (as proven by 2000The Masked Man). I met him at a comedy club a few years back, then brought my kids back the next night to wait outside the club for him to arrive (had to be 21 to enter the club); although he was in a rush, when he saw my kids, he stopped dead in his tracks and spent 15 minutes with them, doing all the Biff stuff with my 3 boys and then being very tender and nice with my daughter.
Like many of you, BTTF is my favorite movie (and the trilogy is my favorite trilogy) and I will always fondly remember and enjoy Tom Wilson in his role as Biff. He clearly, in my opinion, carried BTTF 3. He was an integral part of the perfect casting, which along with the perfect story, screenplay, special effects, airtight storyline, makes BTTF what it is.
Yes, he could have been (and maybe still will be)an actor with a top notch career and clearly his success as Biff typecast him and put a damper on his ability to demonstrate his talent in other roles in "big" movies and TV productions. This is why, perhaps, he would like to "move on" in some respects. In any case, give his aforementioned book and explanation therein of his position on BTTF a chance - as he explains everything - as Doc Brown said, "All your questions will be answered."
