Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Steve Zahn

I have to say, seeing his birthday on the IMDB home page made me realize this. I really love Steve Zahn; I've thought he was hilarious ever since the first time I saw him in "Saving Silverman". Unfortunately, though, he's still incredibly underrated given how great an actor he is and at his age I can't see how it's still possible for him to become a household name. I'm sure he still has a great career ahead of him, but not the one he deserves.

With DIARY OF A WIMPY KID and its sequel & A PERFECT GETAWAY which were both theatrically released, and his role in the series TREME you could say he's not doing bad at all. I agree that he deserves to be a Bradley Cooper level star though.

He may have just realized that supporting actors tend to get more interesting roles - and it's possible he also realized they generally have more longevity.
Reason is a pursuit, not a conclusion.

If he's happy, he's happy. He's doing great, maybe he's doing even better in his personal life and we just don't get to see it. I don't know. Perhaps he's not reaching for the big fame because it's not what he wants. Yes, he's definitely underrated.
