That's a fact. But unfortunately, most folks don't adhere to them. What most people don't realize is that the term adolescence is actually a fairly modern concept. From the dawn of man til the 20th century, females were married and bearing children as young as 12-13. Prior to the 20th century, a person was either a child (prepubescent) or an adult (post-pubescent). There was no in-between (adolescence) especially when it came to women.
In the book series
A Song of Ice and Fire
, one of the main female characters (Daenerys) is married and impregnated at age 13 by her husband (in his 20s). But for the
Game of Thrones
adaptation, the censors had the show-runners change her age to 17. The author George RR Martin explained that he wasn't depicting an "amoral, perverted society" in his books, but that is simply how life was in the Middle Ages AND for greater part of human history.
People tend to forget that human beings are simply another species in the food chain. Instinctively, the core of sexual arousal is driven solely by the express purpose of procreation. When a man is aroused by an attractive female, his brain is not actually saying "wow, she's hot". What his brain is telling him is "hey there, that female is a suitable candidate to bear my offspring". Subconsciously, this is what drives our sexual arousal, despite whether we choose to consciously acknowledge it. And exactly, evolution/nature determines when a male finds a female attractive, not a calendar. Which is why men (whether they want to admit it or not) are much more instinctively attracted to younger females rather than older ones. Instinctively, men desire females at their healthiest stages to bear offspring (this is to ensure survival), and of course, people are at their healthiest when? In their youth, of course.
But whenever this topic makes its way into conversation, all the brainwashed folks clamor with irrational and ignorant responses like "oh, you're just trying to justify perversion/pedophilia etc." Uh no. It's just that most people are incapable of questioning the societal "norms"16d0 that have been imposed upon them their entire lives. "Perverted-ness" is simply a matter of perspective.

And in case anyone is getting their puritan panties in a twist, I am fine with the legal ages set in most countries. The point for them is to prevent the flood of older guys that would go after younger teen girls if there were no age limits.
But I (and millions of other very normal guys and some ladies) still feel there is nothing wrong with admiring those girls from afar.

I was 11 years old when Conan The Destroyer came out.
I didn't think it was sick at all hahaha.
Although I still think she was cute in CtD (I think a lot of that is just reminiscing my feelings for her as an 11 year old watching a 14 year old on-screen), I think she is much more beautiful and attractive at her current age. I'd gladly choose to meet her as she is today over how she was then every single time. She just gets better and better with age.
And of course, I think she's a great actress, most importantly.
