I would like to add my condolences as well.
I just now found out, and am very shocked and saddened. I always loved seeing Edward on screen. (To me, he will always be Elliot Burch. I loved that character. ) Too soon.
He was taken way too soon!
He had a lot of talent, and I don't think he ever got to use it to it's fullest. It's just not fair.

Someone needs to change his date of death.
I really dug him on Timeforce.

Wow, he died of lung cancer Was he a smoker? Ironic, also for the fact that he, and his Dad were so committed to environmental causes, i understand that Earth Day is on Eddie's birthday, because of what he did for the cause.
Didn't his Mom, Margo die from cancer at an early age

A very small percentage of smokers die or lung cancer
In a 2006 European study, the risk of developing lung cancer was:
0.2% for men who never smoked (0.4% for women)
5.5% for male former smokers (2.6% in women)
15.9% for current male smokers (9.5% for women)
24.4% for male heavy smokers defined as smoking more than 5 cigarettes per day (18.5% for women)
An earlier Canadian study quoted the lifetime risk for male smokers at 17.2% (11.6% in women) versus only 1.3% in male non-smokers (1.4% in female non-smokers).
According to the5b4 first study, "heavy" smokers are about 100x more likely to get lung cancer than non-smokers.

He was a great actor with great screen presence, and I'm sad to see him go at such a young age. May he and his father be at peace.

Because of the similarity in our ages I basically saw his films from the very beginning. I found him effective even in films that I did not particularly care for, such as "The 40 Carats"I haven't watched "Butterflies Ar Free" since it was in theatres, but I still remember several of his scenes from the film.
I had not seen a picture of him for a long, long time until just peeking at some on this page. He sure looks older and different than I remember him. But I recently looked at a new picture of myself and thought the same thing. I mourned the passing of his father just a few months ago, and I now mourn his passing.
Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see

Yes I know. We are the same age as well and I hadn't paid much attention to him lately. I too looked at some of the pictures and wished he could look the way he used to in his 20's and 30's. And then I thought, "give him a break - he's 55 like you - YOU wish you looked as you did back then too!" A real class act from a real class act family. His presence on this earth will be missed. I wonder if he knew how many of us were out here?
