Great fan of hers after seeing her in Look Back in Anger and The Spy Who Came In from the Cold. Two other films I've seen her in was the excellent Woody Allen film Crimes and Misdemeanors and another Richard Burton picture, Alexander the Great. I here that she was good in The Haunting so thats next on my too watch list!

A long and distinguished career, heck, she is probably the only actress I can think of who can say she worked with the likes of Charlie Chaplin to Sylvester Stallone!
THE HAUNTING, Chaplin's LIMELIGHT and THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, I think are her three best movies.

She also played Lady Marchmain to perfection in "Brideshead Revisited"! It will be very difficult, if not impossible, for Emma Thompson to improve on her performance. I also liked her a lot in John Schlesinger's television adaptation of "Seperate Tables".

although I was aware of her since I was a kid, she totally seduced me as Lady Marchmain in Brideshead Revisited. What class! What elegance! Her stately bearing and impeccable speech absolutely bowled me over. I have watched the scene in which she gives Charles the book over and over again

Oh yes, Miss Bloom is very fantastic in everything! I cannot believe that she's been acting in films for sixty years now, with her refined beauty as lovely as ever.
Claire Bloom is very elegant and mannerly, stately and artistic, terrific and distinguished - along with her many other fine star qualities. She deserves great appreciation for all of her fine work as a fantastic actress!

I saw her in "The Man Between" this evening, and she was terrific. I've been a fan of hers since the first time I watched "The Haunting" and "Look Back in Anger." She really isn't properly regarded for the work she's done; it's odd.

She was absolutely superb in Charly (1968), as well, acting in tandem with Cliff Robertson, who delivered an Oscar winning performance.
Beautiful, classy, elegant, underratedthey don't make 'em like her anymore.
it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him
