nope you're not the only one.
Sideways was one of the most overrated pieces of garbage I've ever seen, and his performance in it was laughable.
he's awful, and further proof that making it in Hollywood has very, very little to do w/ talent -

Try broadening your horizons. Look at Brendan Fraser in Gods and Monsters as another example from George of the Jungle. Actually he had the good sense to bail out after the first.
Anyway, I've loved THC since Wings, Lowell was so adorable!
Life isn't a rehearsal, so make this one your best performance -

Please see him in "Smart People".he is just great. I have always thought he is a great actor since first noticing him in "Wings" and later "Sideways". He is truly a gifted actor and personality. Keep up the good work Tom.

Peacecreep,
Did you see Sideways? Do you not think that he nailed his role? I came away thinking, either he's an awesome actor, or that role was perfectly and inextricably tailored to his personality.
Given that I've seen him in other performances, where he seems to have precious little in common with Jack, I'd say the odds are that he just nailed his performance. Which isn't to say that he nails every performance. Even Meryl Streep, Robert Deniro and Helen Hunt have their stinkers. -

Even though your top post is 3.5 years old, the fact that you've seen George of the Jungle 1 & 2 alone speaks volumes about who you are as a movie watcher.
Everyone else above has given a fairly descent response in defense of THC's other performances.
Hi, I'm God. Can I touch You? -

Well, I don't think you're the "onyl" one, OP.
But have you seen SIDEWAYS?

^ Interesting Q&A here with him too, on his new film, DON MCKAY. Not a bad guy, IMO.
