I think of it as a good kind of bitter like coffee, but like with coffee, there's a fine line between good bitter and bad bitter.

I'm not a fan of black coffee, I like it sweet and with milk.
It's just really hard to imagine what it tastes like and Google is quite confusing, some describing it as savoury or umami.
