For a very long time, I didn't dare to approach the late Fulci, based on all the negative reviews and overall reputation. Then, one year ago, I purchased a very cheap DVD of the cheap DEMONIA and totally loved it (the cheap dubbing alone could've done it for me!) - both for the typical atmospheric Fulci elements which it undoubtedly has as well as for its lovely, cheesy 80ies-Cheapness, Italian style. Since then, I've grown quite fond, not to say that I became addicted, to the late Fulci and cherish films like HOUSE OF CLOCKS (very dark and moody), SWEET HOUSE OF HORRORS (quite an unusual, tender Fulci), the deliriously misogynistic black comedy WHEN ALICE BROKE THE MIRROR or VOICES FROM BEYOND and, of course, A CAT IN THE BRAIN. However, some of his late efforts unfortunately are as bad as their reputation and have none of the great, weird, surreal or nicely cheesy elements to go for. AENIGMA and MURDER ROCK struck that way and even though SODOMA'S GHOST has a lot of Schlock appeal, it is still quite painful to watch.

Sweet House of Horrors started off pretty cool, but eventually got tedius.
The only good later-Fulci films are "House of Clocks" and "Voices from Beyond". "Touch of Death" wasn't as terrible as some of the others.

I love "Conquest" it's what got me to him. So unintentionally funny, like most of his films.
I saw the first half of Zombie 3 it's a lot less good then Zombie 2. But still there is great unintentional funny stuff.
Great imagination he had.
